Day 40 - Arambol

It's raaaaiiiining

Anna and I ran out of our room at about 10am after waiting an hour for the rain to stop, and finally giving up after our stomachs started growling in unison. Anna took the stairs first, but when she hit the corner she carried on in a big slide and disappeared off the edge! (I did the same thing yesterday in less slapstick style - have a swollen, black elbow to show for it)

We shouted at the guys running the hostel, and they got so scared they all ran to scrub the steps. And we limped/ran to the nearest cafe.

About an hour later the other girls joined us. We waited for the rain to stop...

... 6 hours later we were still waiting. We have just decided we need to leave the cafe for a bit, so ran to internet cafe. But will be going back I'm sure.

Aging hippie says the rain only started yesterday, and may go on for a few days ("will be raining everywhere, don't bother going south to escape it girls" - rats). My tan was coming on so nicely... and I really did fancy swimming, and watching wierdo wander around like mud people. Maybe it will stop tomorrow!

Hello smelly, ok I envy you a bit sounds like you're havin a wicked time. Arambol beach and Anjuna do look like paradise. But its my third day at uni today and it has been fun, although I am slightly annoyed, I found out today that that my freshers week (actually its a fortnight here...haha) is not just getting immensely druck and sleeping in till like 2. No, iv got to get up at like 10 pretty much every day this week to go to preperation talk about my course and stuff, i had one today it was sooo boring it went on for like 3 hours! Oh well its a small price to pay i guess, hopefully the one tommorow won't be so bad. Happy birthday for yesterday you will be glad to know that i didn't forget it, like Rob forgot mine! Although you might have to wait till you get back for a present. Or I could get you a doubley fantastic present next year its up to you? and thanks for the Amazon voucher, it was a good choice for a present. Anyway i'm glad to hear ur havin a good time iv got a new uni e-mail address so we can keep in touch its: "cam60687@Port.ac.uk"

  4. Hey Hey all...

Still raining, you'll be delighted to know - last night the path to our apartment turned into a knee-high river... nice!

Stu - sounds like you're doing good - last minute deadlines with a hangover is what uni is all about (still sleeping in till 2pm?). Quite funny that big bro forgot your birthday, typical Bob!

Liz - I bet you're doing fine, and I really don't envy you in the least! Yoga marathon starts in 2 weeks.. really hope I can still touch my toes!

More thanks for birthday wishes! Take care everyone...

    Wet Katiexxx
